The GPCRSGT body is shaped to the Grand Performance body profile with single-cutaway at the 14th fret, for greater access to the upper frets. The body back and sides are crafted using sapele, a tonewood that is renowned for its sumptuous warmth and generous helpings of mid to low frequency energy.

Paired with the back and sides is a solid Sitka spruce top, which is revered for its highly resonant properties that allows it to project the timbre produced in the body with the utmost efficiency.
