Soloist Body

The SLATXSDQ has a Soloist body profile with deep double cutaways that provide you with access to all frets available at the neck. The body is made from basswood and features a quilt maple top veneer which allows the Transparent Purple finish to shine through.

Neck-Through-Body Construction

The SLATXSDQ X Series model has a true neck-through-body construction which is a hallmark feature of a Jackson guitar. This also enhances playability and sustain, providing a versatile feel and expansive sound. The maple speed neck is ideal for fast players, while the graphite reinforcement also adds stability.

The neck is topped with a compound rosewood fingerboard with a radius of 12 to 16 inches. This is an innovative Jackson design whereby the fingerboard gradually flattens toward the heel yet feels rounded at the string nut. This unique design facilitates all playing styles, whether carrying out delicate riffs and solos, or big-sounding chords. The rosewood fingerboard is home to 24 jumbo frets adorned with piranha tooth inlays.

Blackouts Pickups

Powering the sound of the X Series SLATXSDQ is the Seymour Duncan Blackouts AHB7 pickup set. These powerful pickups transform the guitar into a heavy metal colossus, whether you're performing complex chords or intricate lead riffs. The pickups sit in the neck and bridge positions respectively, and these active pickups sound just massive.

Master Volume and Tone controls feature, plus the 3-position toggle switch enables you to alter between the pickups to tweak your sound to suit your playing needs.

Hardware and Finish

The lower bout of the body features a Floyd Rose Special 7-String double-locking tremolo recessed bridge, ensuring a sturdy connection between strings and body with improved sustain. The headstock features four over three sealed die-cast tuning machines, upholding tuning integrity with precision.
