The Jackson X Series Kelly KEX Electric Guitar in Satin Black is a cool and sophisticated guitar for those who like to stand out on stage. The angular body shape is complemented by a demure satin black finish, which is offset brilliantly by the gold finished hardware. If you like to rock out in style, then it doesn't get much better than this.

          Sophisticated Kelly body

Since its introduction in the 1980s, the Jackson Kelly has been one of the go-to models for metallers and hard rockers, with none other than Marty Friedman popularizing the model by getting his very own signature Kelly. The defined angular shape is a world away from more round-bodied models, and encourages a fearless approach to performing. The body is crafted using basswood, which is lightweight and a joy to wield. Finished in satin black, the white binding creates a seal that seamlessly merges the top and sides.

          Neck-through-design

The single-piece maple neck-through-body construction establishes a resounding sustain that gives your tone an impressive power. Graphite reinforcement ensures that even during the most demanding of performances, the neck will retain a resilient and unyielding firmness. The sublime scarf joint encourages a snug feel against the body during performances. The exquisitely finished neck is matched by a single-ply white binding that continues the cool aesthetic along the entire length of the neck.

Married to the neck is a luxurious dark rosewood fingerboard, which is home to 24 jumbo frets that are adorned with pearloid sharkfin inlays to create a fine navigational aid. The compound radius fingerboard lends itself well to smooth string bends, elegantly executed legato licks, and those all-important arpeggios to complete the fretboard gymnastics' routine. The gloss finish ensures that rapid transitions along the neck are carried out with effortless grace.

          Jackson high output humbuckers

The Jackson X Series Kelly KEX is equipped with a pair of their high output humbuckers, which generate a punchy and defiant output that gives you a dynamic range of tones to play with. Whether you wish to dial is back and perform with crisp cleans, and take the bull by the horns and smash out earth-shattering riffs, you have everything that you could possibly need ready and waiting to go. Control over the pickups comes in the form of a master volume pot, a mater tone pot, and a three-way pickups selector switch to keep everything simple yet effective.

          Gig-ready hardware

Fitted to the headstock you'll find the Jackson sealed die-cast tuning machines, which fix each string firmly before passing via the Floyd Rose locking nut on their way to the Floyd Rose special double-locking tremolo bridge. No matter how much you dive or wail on this beauty, you can rest assured that your tuning will remain intact with intonation preserved.
