The Jackson Pro Series Soloist SL2Q MAH Electric Guitar is a model in a league of its own, and it is clear why so many pros elect to use one as their weapon of choice when it comes to touring and hitting the studio. The innovative model combines high performance in an ergonomic design that lets your playing shine.
Sublime Soloist body
The Soloist body combines a sleek shallow body depth with deep double-cutaways that open up the upper frets to make them readily accessible. The body is built using mahogany, a tonewood favoured by many due to its warm midrange timbre, solid feel and impressive resonance. Paired with the mahogany is a divine quilt maple top with a grain that shines through the stunning finish.
Neck-through Construction
The Pro series instruments are built using neck-through-body construction to give them even greater sustain. The single-piece maple neck-through-body is reinforced using graphite for unprecedented durability, ensuring tonal consistency throughout each and every performance. The neck is shaped to Jackson's speed neck profile, which is combined with an oiled finish that contributes to the lightning fast playing feel.
Jackson compound-radius fingerboard
Jackson pioneered the compound radius fingerboard design, which their Pro Series models benefit from. The rounded profile at the nut flattens towards the heel to create a more natural playing position for the hand with regard to fretting chords and laying down lightning fast licks. Whether you're throwing in cheeky string bends, seamless legato or two-handed tapping across multiple strings simultaneously, the ebony fingerboard is more than happy to oblige you. Piranha Tooth position inlays guide you along each of the 24 jumbo frets in style. The rolled fingerboard edges offer seamless transitions between each fret for unimpeded playing.
Carefully appointed Seymour Duncan humbuckers
Selected specifically to complement the construction and tonewood selection perfectly, the SL2Q MAH is equipped with a pair of Seymour Duncan pickups - TB-6 in the bridge/SH-6N in the neck. The exquisite balance of tonal flexibility, pristine cleans and bruising distortion is truly marvellous. The three-position pickup selector switch allows you to toggle between either pickup individually or both simultaneously, whilst the master volume and tone controls allow precise attenuation over the pickups remarkable dynamic range.
Floyd Rose mastery
The body is equipped with a Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo, which affords precise vibrato control with anything from slight adjustment to deep dives and soaring wailing. At the top of the neck is the Floyd Rose R3 locking nut, which ensures that once you've tuned up using the Jackson sealed die-cast tuning machines you can work out the bridge to your heart's content. As ever, the Jackson pointed 6-in-line headstock proudly bears the instantly recognisable Jackson logo.
