The Ibanez RGIT20FE takes on the iconic RG body shape which is one of the most recognisable Ibanez profiles. The Ibanez RG series has seen a hallmark range of guitars in the metal genre since its launch in the late 80s. The Ibanez RGIT20FE has a classic double cutaway, neck-through body for an ultimately comfortable playing feel, especially for a metal guitarist. Ibanez built the RGIT20FE model to set specifications to ensure it produces a high quality sound output with a quick response.

ASH WING BODY

Ibanez have elected Ash tonewood to construct the body of the RGIT20FE electric guitar, and have shaped it to the quintessential RG contour. Guitarists, and in particular, metal guitarists, revel in experimenting with hard, fast melodies, but the design of the instrument combined with the tonewoods is what allows you to hear such a wide range of balanced, versatile tones with a quick response.

NITRO WIZARD NECK

The RGIT20FE has a neck-through body design, and Ibanez have implemented a Nitro Wizard 7-piece Maple / Walnut neck. The Nitro Wizard neck is built to be super strong and stable but also has a very slim profile which promotes faster playability. You can be assured that this neck is extremely solid, so no matter how hard you play, this neck is going nowhere.

Aboard the Maple / Walnut neck is an ebony fingerboard, adorned with 24 jumbo frets for you to exercise your best riffs.

EMG PICKUPS

Ibanez have nominated EMG humbucking pickups to project a punchy output from the RGIT20FE. In the neck position is an EMG 60 pickup, while in the bridge position is an EMG 81, a superb combination that both contribute to a fluid, tonal balance with great sustain, from huge lows and thick mids to intense highs. The partnership of 81/60 pickups produces outstanding clarity in sound with many a fiery quality.

HARDWARE AND FINISH

Ibanez have fitted a Gibraltar Standard II hardtail bridge to the RGIT20FE model which retains a strong connection between the strings and the ash body to improve sustain and tone.

Gotoh SG381 MG-T machine heads are fitted to the headstock to uphold tuning integrity with accuracy. The machine heads and hardware are Cosmo Black in colour which adds real metal styling to the guitar.

The RGIT20FE has simple controls including Volume and a 3-way Pickup Selector switch. A Kill Switch also allows you to manually control a strobe / slicer effect.
