Body

A prominent feature of the RGIM7BC is its open double cutaway body profile, allowing for easy access to the upper registers. The body is constructed from mahogany and joined by a bocote top which has beautifully visible grains beneath the Deep Forest Burst Flat finish. The combination of bocote and mahogany contributes to a crisp, well-balanced range of tones across the frequencies, plus the 7-string guitar opens up bigger tonal possibilities.

Neck

A 5-piece maple / bubinga multi scale neck is firmly joined to the body and provides a reliable feel in the hand. Playing comfort is also enhanced thanks to the neck's multi scale Nitro Wizard-7 profile. The neck feels incredibly slim but is designed to be able to withstand the added tension of the extra strings. The multi scale neck ensures equalised string tension while offering an ergonomic playing feel. The neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard which is home to 24 jumbo frets.

EMG Pickups

A pair of active EMG 808 humbucker pickups are fitted in the neck and bridge positions to produce a rich, harmonic range of tones. Despite the RGIM7BC having the additional 7th string, the pickups respond accurately to your playing style. Whether you're playing fast riffs or complex chords, the sound is superb regardless. The beefy humbucker tone is well-delivered thanks to the Alnico V magnets.

The controls are kept simple to make it easier to tweak your sound as and when you need to. The controls include Master Volume and Master Tone, plus a 3-way pickup switch.

Hardware

The lower bout of the body is fitted with a Mono-Rail bridge which ensures the perfect string-to-string isolation for a crystal clear sound. The string spacing allows each of the seven strings to vibrate without affecting one another. Sturdy tuning machines are firmly fitted to the headstock to uphold tuning integrity with accuracy, while the Cosmo Black hardware adds a neat visual aesthetic to the body.
