Body and Neck

The body has been crafted from agathis, a tonewood that produces a surprisingly gutsy tonality despite its lightweight feel. The slim body shape rests snugly against the body during performances, making it very comfortable to wield, whilst the double-cutaway profile makes it easy to access the neck and fingerboard in their entirety. This model has been treated to a transparent red finish, which allows the wood grain of the agathis to shine through.

Fitted to the body is a solid maple neck, which has been given a slim profile to make it sit perfectly in the hand, and very easy to run your hand along at speed. Married to the neck is a rosewood fingerboard, which is designed to be slightly wider than average to enable steadier finger positioning when playing chords and/or executing speedy licks. Dot position inlays make it easy to navigate the fingerboard.

Electronics

This is the perfect entry-level rock guitar for budding shredders and classic rock players. The two humbucking pick-ups seriously drive your amp and create a huge rock tone. However, subtle adjustment of the volume and tone controls, opens up a huge range of tonal delights. The lack of unwanted fuzz or distortion ensures that clean tones are articulate and bright, without sounding overly harsh or brittle. Using the 3-way pickup selector switch, you can access each pickup individually or create a blend of both. The neck pickup produces a sharp, incisive tone with astonishing clarity. The middle arrangement combines both pickups for a fat, full-bodied sound. The bridge pickup gives a grittier tone that is great for palm-muted picking with a touch of overdrive.

Hardware

The hardtail bridge provides an anchored feel, upholding intonation and string position securely. The nut and tuning machines work together perfectly to uphold string tension and tuning integrity, giving you total confidence in the GAX30
