Body

The SR body profile is sleek and slender, allowing the bass to sit against the body during performances for a very comfortable playing feel. Ash is chosen for the body tonewood, which guarantees this model carries a hefty timbre that is filled with depth across the frequencies. The natural grain of the wood is displayed proudly through a discreet stained black finish.

Neck

A multi-scale 5-piece jatoba and bubinga neck is firmly joined to the body, ergonomically designed to work in harmony with the player's hand angle. The neck profile promotes fast, smooth playing action. With its multi scale design, each individual string is set, with the low E string at 34.5 inches to the G string at 33.5 inches. This improves playing comfort while ensuring that string tension is retained, even in down tuning or when performing string bends and vibrato.

The rosewood fingerboard hosts 24 medium-sized frets and are clearly shaped to accommodate the varying scale lengths across the strings, ensuring a balanced tonal response and steady tension. The block position inlays guide your way across the frets.

Electronics

The SRFF800 is fitted with Bartolini BH2 pickups in the neck and bridge positions to accurately reflect the stunning tones from the ash body and 5-piece neck. The Ibanez SRFF800 has a custom electronics setup with a 3-band EQ and an EQ bypass switch. When you activate the EQ bypasses, the treble pot becomes a passive, global tone control, and the mid frequency switch allows you to tighten up the pickups' response. The Bartolini BH2 dual-coil pickups produce a wide range of balanced warm tones, with a full-bodied mid-range and tighter low end with plenty of warmth.

Hardware

The lower bout of the body features the reliable Mono-rail V bridge, keeping each string well isolated with its 16.5mm spacing, while ensuring each string vibration is transferred without interference. The headstock is fitted with dependable tuning machines which uphold tuning integrity with precision.
