The RG655M Prestige electric guitar has an entirely solid body constructed from basswood. This is a tonewood that, despite its lightweight feel, produces a massive yet balanced output, with a particularly robust mid-range. The RG655M Prestige is wonderfully moulded into that effective double cutaway body type which is ideal for guitarists who relish being able to explore the entire neck in all its glory.

Super Wizard HP Neck

The Super Wizard HP neck is expertly crafted to promote a much faster playability thanks to its incredibly slim profile. Built from 5-piece maple and walnut, this material pairing further increases the guitar's feel and playability; whatever technique you choose, this guitar neck is adaptable for any guitar player.

Topping the neck is a maple fingerboard which is a light, smooth playing surface to perfectly partner the 5-piece neck. Black dot inlays embellish the 24 jumbo frets which are at your disposal, guiding you along as you perfect every riff and solo.

Trio of DiMarzio Pickups

For the ultimate metal tone, the US-made DiMarzio pickups are so ideal. The RG655M Prestige is fitted with three different DiMarzio pickups with an H/S/H configuration, all powered by Alnico magnets. At the bridge position is the DiMarzio Tone Zone pickup, a fantastic humbucker which produces a dynamic range of tones. In the middle, there is a DiMarzio True Velvet single-coil pickup which completely enhances any solo. At the neck is a DiMarzio Air Norton humbucker pickup, providing an ideal combination alongside the neck and middle pickups, adding warmth and depth to the tone.

A 5-way pickup toggle switch plus a volume and tone control is all you need to switch between the pickups and hear the variations in your sound.

Hardware and Finish

Ibanez have fitted an Edge Tremolo bridge to the RG655M Prestige guitar, so you can add a shimmering tremolo effect without losing tune. The Ibanez headstock has cosmo black tuners which ensure that you can retune your guitar with ease and accuracy.
