Vintage and modern balance

The first thing you will notice about the RC520 is its vintage appearance. The minimal design and double cutaway shape is very inviting for guitarists and also makes for comfortable playing. The body is crafted from mahogany and because it's so slim, it sits snugly against the body making it light and comfortable to play. A small cream plastic pickguard also protects the paintwork whilst adding to the vintage ethos.

Equally comfortable is the RC profile slim maple neck that feels comfortable in the hand and plays incredibly fast and smooth as you would expect from an Ibanez. The neck is topped off with a rosewood fingerboard containing 22 medium profile frets and white positional dot inlays.

Variable tone on tap

The Ibanez RC520 comes fully loaded when it comes to high-output tone thanks to the Core Tone pickups that are situated in the bridge and neck positions. These can be controlled via the simple tone and volume controls, however there is a twist. The tone control has a push/pull mechanism that allows for coil-splitting and there's a 3-way pickup selection switch so you can cycle through many combinations of output on-the-fly to get the sound you need for your performance.
