Body

Ibanez have drawn on years of guitar-building expertise to craft the AE245. The body is constructed entirely from solid mahogany, top, back and sides, with its stunning, dark natural finish. Mahogany contributes to the guitar's rich, warm tones and covers a vast range of sonic frequencies to suit many musical genres. The body benefits from scalloped X bracing and Tone Projection back bracing for added stability, enhanced sound character and dynamic response.

Neck

Ibanez have fitted a smooth mahogany neck with a satin finish to the body of the AE245. The neck has a comfortable 400mm radius that sits nicely in the hand and is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. Full fingerboard access is provided to the 20 frets thanks to a single cutaway in the body. The frets feature specially designed wooden inlays which have a striking appearance to guide you.

Electronics

The guitar's natural wooden tones are beautifully translated thanks to the Ibanez T-Bar undersaddle pickup and onboard custom electronics. The preamp has an active circuit to suit varying degrees of practice and performance sessions. The custom preamp allows you to plug into an amp, mixing console or PA system, all with minimal noise or feedback as you connect.

Hardware and Finish

The headstock is fitted with dependable chrome die-cast tuners set to a reliable 18:1 gear ratio. Sustain and acoustic tone is further enhanced thanks to the rosewood bridge, bone nut and a compensated 4mm bone saddle.

The stunning mahogany body is decorated with an abalone and maple soundhole rosette and tortoiseshell pickguard for an extraordinary finish.
