The Fender Dave Murray Stratocaster Electric Guitar in 2 colour sunburst is the awesome result of collaboration between the guitar manufacturer and long standing member of Iron Maiden. Having served over 30 years with the Maiden's, Murray has seen and done it all - played to sold out venues and arenas around the world, been showered with countless awards -, and at every step of the way he's used his faithful California Series Strat, the inspiration for the Fender Dave Murray Strat.

Body

Murray has stated that he was influenced by none other than Jimi Hendrix - a Strat player himself - and Murray has stuck with the model ever since. As you'd expect, the body is shaped to the delightful Strat body profile, the instantly recognisable double-cutaway design with sublimely crafted curves. Fender has employed alder as the body tonewood of choice, with its lightweight feel and impressive, balanced tonality. The body has been finished in a cool 2-colour sunburst, which has been treated with a layer of gloss polyester to prevent premature wear or damage. Adding to the stunning finish is a 4-ply white pearloid pickguard.

Neck

Fitted to the body is a solid maple neck, which has been shaped to a ""C"" shape profile. In order to make the fingerboard as comfortable as possible to play, Fender has employed a compound radius of 9.5""~14"", which offers the perfect platform along which to perform fretboard gymnastics to your heart's content.

Electronics

The Dave Murray Strat is equipped with a trio of Seymour Duncan humbuckers: Seymour Duncan Hot Rails for Strat SHR-1B (bridge); Seymour Duncan JB Jr. SJBJ-1N (Middle); Seymour Duncan Hot Rails for Strat SHR-1N (Neck). The expertly calibrated electronics ensure a vast dynamic range to play with that is infused with warmth and clarity throughout. No matter how hard you rock out, you can rest assured that nothing but sweet tones will break forth.

Control over the pickups comes in the form of a 5-way pickup selector switch, a master volume pot, and two tone pots to control the neck and middle pickups. Whether you're looking to tackle some intricate jazz or country, or go straight into some roaring neo-classical shredding, you can rest assured that with this set up, you have everything you need.

Hardware

Fitted to the body is a Floyd Rose Original double-locking 2-point tremolo - with accompanying Floyd Rose R3 locking nut -, which ensures that you can divebomb and wail until the sun comes up without breaking a sweat. Simply tune your strings to your desired tuning using the deluxe staggered cast/sealed tuning machines, secure the locking nut, and away you go.
