Legendary Shape, Traditional Material
The legendary, and unchanged, single-cutaway Telecaster body shape has, in this model, been crafted from ash, rather the usual alder. This wood provides the unmistakable Tele sound, with a bright tone and bags of sustain. The grain is also visible through the guitar,s White Blonde finish.
This classic body design of the Fender '50s Telecaster is accompanied by plenty of vintage-style appointments: a single-ply white pickguard, 3-saddle American Vintage strings-through-body Tele bridge with chrome barrel saddles, and chrome hardware, which includes the guitar,s knurled flat-top control knobs and vintage-style machine heads.
Comfortable C Shape Neck
Giving exceptional comfort and playing enjoyment, the Fender Classic Series '50s Telecaster is equipped with a maple neck, shaped to the popular C Shape profile, finished in luxurious gloss urethane, and kept securely in place by a four-bolt neck plate.
Topside the neck is covered by a rosewood fingerboard, which in this model has a thinner radius, measuring 7.25"" (184.1 mm) rather the more commonly used 9.5"" (241 mm), and a nut width of 1.625"" (41.3 mm). The fingerboard is also fitted with 21 vintage-style-sized frets and black dot position inlays.
Vintage Sound
Giving the classic Telecaster sound is the inclusion of a pair of Vintage-Style Single-Coil Tele pickups. These are easily controlled by the usual compliment of a 3-way pickup selector switch, accompanied by Master Volume and Tone controls.
