Giving you the chance to get your hands on a classic instrument, the Fender,s Classic Series has been designed to give today,s players a taste of the past with vintage-style models, with period-correct details. The Fender Classic Series '50s Telecaster takes its inspiration from an important decade in the history of Fender, as 1951 brought with it the debut of the first Tele.
Unchanged Shape
Keeping the legend intact, the single-cutaway design of the Telecaster body has remained unchanged throughout the years and has, in the case of this model, been constructed from ash, in place of the usual alder.
Visible through the guitar,s 2-colour sunburst polyester finish, the wood is stunning, and is joined by other striking details, in the model,s single-ply, white pickguard, 3-saddle vintage bridge, and chrome, knurled flat-top control knobs and vintages-style machine heads. The use of this wood also ensures the coveted, bright, Tele tone comes through, as well as bags of sustain.
C Shaped Comfort
Giving a comfortable playing surface to match the sound of the guitar, the Fender Classic Series 50s Telecaster has been fitted with a maple neck with a gloss urethane finish, and carved to the ""C""Shape profile.
Atop the neck is a 7.25"" (184.1 mm) radius, maple fingerboard that measures 1.625"" (41.3 mm) at the nut and is set up with 21 vintage-style-sized frets and black dot inlays.
Vintage Tele Sound
For authentic, vintage-Tele sound, the guitar is fitted with a pair of Fender,s Vintage-Style Single-Coil Tele pickups. The usual control system is in operation here, with a 3-way pickup selector switch joined by Master Volume and Tone controls.
Deluxe Gig Bag Included
Although older guitars, with all their chips, dents, and discolouration look great, you would probably like damage to your new instrument to be kept to a minimum. With this in mind, the Fender Classic Series '50s Telecaster comes supplied with a deluxe gig bag, which along with keeping the instrument safe from harm, also makes transportation easier; with shoulder straps and a carrying handle fitted to the bag. There,s also a couple of pockets built in, for all the extras that will inevitably be travelling with you.
