The Fender Classic Player '60s Stratocaster, created by Fender Custom Shop Master Builder, Greg Fessler, is a perfect example of the Series, which takes traditional, and much-loved elements from Fender,s expansive history, and mixes them with modern improvements, to create a group of really special instruments.
Classic Body
The body is classic Strat; a piece of Alder shaped to the instantly recognisable profile and coated with a Candy Apple Red polyester finish. This is joined by a 3-ply Mint Green pickguard, chrome hardware, and aged switch tip and control knobs.
Vintage Neck
Joined to the body of the Fender Classic Player '60s Stratocaster, and kept in-place with a 4-bolt neck plate adorned with the ""Custom Shop Designed""badge, is a maple neck, shaped to the popular ""C""profile, and accompanied by a rosewood fingerboard with a 12"" (305 mm) radius and 1.650"" (42 mm) nut width.
This playing surface is set up with 21 medium jumbo frets and white dot inlays. It is here that you will find the vintage-style heel adjustment truss rod and slotted truss rod nut, while further up, at the headstock, is a set of vintage-style tuning machines.
Fender Custom Shop ,69 Stratocaster Pickups
Fender,s Custom Shop ,69 Stratocaster pickups are responsible for producing a full, punchy late-,60s blues rock tone, and the Fender Classic Player '60s Stratocaster has three of them! With their unique coil wind and magnet structure, they are capable of beautiful clarity and, working with pedals, are capable of thumping low-end and high-end soar.
This classy trio is joined by the usual control compliment of: a 5-way pickups selector switch, Master Volume, and two Tone knobs (Neck and Middle), as well as the trem, which in this case takes the form of the vintage style 2-point synchronized tremolo.
