Made for performance, the Fender CD-60 Acoustic Guitar utilises the ever-popular dreadnought body shape to full effect. The cavernous, yet comfortable, shape produces robust bass and clear mids, which work together with balance and power, for exceptional projection. It is this balanced responsiveness to light and harsh play that have seen it become popular with flatpickers and strummers alike. Furthermore this model features a cutaway design, giving access all the way up the fretboard.

Body Construction

The dreadnought shape here has been constructed with a spruce top, met by mahogany back and sides, with a distinctive black binding outline separating the two. Known for its clarity, brightness and broad dynamic range, spruce is a very popular top wood. The mahogany at the back and sides balances out the overall sound well, with a warmer tone and an emphasised mid-range.

A scalloped X-bracing brings strength to the guitar,s top, also being scalloped means less wood is used in its construction, so there is less mass and the top can resonate more freely; producing a better tone with more nuances and greater projection. Topside the finish is complemented by a black pickguard and mother-of-pearl acrylic rosette design.

Playable Neck

Making up the guitar,s 25.3""scale length is a nato neck with a nut width of 1.69""(42.9 mm). A 20-fret, rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays, tops this and leads to a rosewood bridge with compensated Graphtech Nubone saddle, while at the other end of the neck the headstock is equipped with a set of die-cast tuners.
