Cool Jazz Bass Style

The Fender American Elite Jazz Bass RW Guitar is built from alder, a lightweight tonewood that boasts a balanced tonality with a rounded low-end response, a generous midrange punch, and a crisp and articulate presence in the high frequency range. The offset waist body shape makes the Jazz Bass a joy to play whether you're stood up or seated, with ergonomically designed curves to ensure the most accommodating playing feel. This particular model has been finished in a classic 3 colour sunburst, which is protected by a layer of gloss polyurethane to protect the paintwork and tonewood from changes in temperature and humidity - making it a great bass to hit the road with.

Improved Neck Profile Design

Fitted to the body is a single-piece maple neck, which is connected via a robust 5-bolt asymmetrical joint. The neck is reinforced using Posiflex graphite support rods, which run along the length of the neck to guarantee absolute stability, whilst resisting warping due to changes in humidity and temperature. As with other models in the American Elite series, the neck profile has been shaped from a modern ""C"" to ""D"" profile, with a shallower and flatter neck heel for improved upper fret access.

Paired with the neck is a luxurious rosewood fingerboard, which is home to 21 medium-jumbo frets that are adorned with pearloid block position inlays. The new truss rod adjustment wheel is moved to the base of the neck, and can be adjusted with ease to ensure intonation and sustain as accurate as possible. The back of the neck has been finished in satin urethane to create a smoother and faster playing feel. Single-ply binding smooths out transitions between each fret, whilst complementing the headstock, neck and body finishes beautifully.

New N4 Noiseless Pickups

The American Elite series models benefit from the new Noiseless N4 single-coil pickups, which offer fantastic response whilst eliminating unwanted hiss or buzz, which is a must for those who're performing high-gain musical styles or taking their music to a larger stage. The pickups are fitted in the bridge and middle positions, offering everything from galloping mid to low-end thump to tight and precise highs.

The Jazz Bass is equipped with a selection of control knobs, switches and buttons that enable you to shape and sculpt your sound with enviable dexterity, including: treble boost/cut, bass boost/cut, midrange boost, active/passive mini-toggle switch, and master volume control. The tonal versatility of this Jazz Bass is impressive but its ability to master virtually any musical style from funk to country, punk to jazz is remarkable; for session and live musicians it is an absolute gem. Not only that, but a mini toggle switch allows you to switch from a passive output to a whopping 18V active EQ powered output.

Hardware/Finish

A 4-saddle hi-mass vintage bridge is fitted to ensure the strings' connection to the body is as seamless as possible, whilst Fender lightweight vintage-style tuning machines with tapered shafts maintain tuning integrity throughout each and every performance. The lower wing of the body is protected from nicks and scrapes thanks to the perfectly positioned 3-ply black/white/black pickguard.
