Body

The double cutaway contours of the Special Edition Precision Bass Noir continue to offer total access to the entire neck, including the higher registers. The body is constructed entirely of alder tonewood which provides a wide, versatile range of tones all with plenty of presence. The alder body has a lightweight feel which reduces fatigue onstage.

Neck

A maple neck is firmly fitted to the body and offers an effortless playing feel in the hand thanks to its modern ""C"" profile. An original feature of the Precision Bass is that Fender amended the fret design to allow for ""more precise playing"", and this is still the case in the Special Edition Noir model. The neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard which hosts 20 frets adorned with white dot inlays to guide you.

Single-Coil Pickups

The powerful tones of the Special Edition Precision Bass Noir are amplified thanks to a pair of Standard Split Single-Coil pickups. The pickups ensure that the bass is performance-ready from the moment you receive it, allowing you to plug in and play at the studio or on the stage. Controls include Master Volume and Master Tone allowing for tone amendments to be made with ease.

Hardware and Finish

Sustain and intonation are excellent in this Special Edition Precision Bass thanks to the 4-saddle standard vintage-style bridge with groove saddles. The traditional headstock comes in a matching Satin Black colour with open gear tuning machines. The pickguard is also in a matching 3-ply black/red/black finish which adds an eye-catching style to the body.
