Body

The Tele 90 has a refined feel and appearance with the recognisable rounded cutaway design. But its specially-selected Malaysian blackwood top steals the show. This rare tonewood is ideal for both lead and rhythm guitar styles thanks to its robust and dense texture. The Tele 90 covers a huge range of sonic frequencies with such incredible sustain. The rest of the body, as you might expect from a Fender, is constructed from alder all in its natural colouring.

Neck

Firmly joined to the slick Tele body is a figured maple neck with a satin urethane finish on the back to improve grip. The neck has been shaped to the modern ""Deep C"" profile for a comfortable feel in the hand. Topping the neck is a 22-fret smooth maple fingerboard with a 9.5 inch radius and handy black dot inlays. The narrow tall frets are ideal for performing string bends and intricate, rhythmic chords.

Single-Coil Sound

Fender have employed a pair of JP-90 single-coil pickups to produce an authentic, classic range of Tele tones. The pickups sit firmly in the bridge and neck positions, giving you a real twang as you play. The single-coil pickups come with brightness but plenty of bite. The limited edition Malaysian Blackwood Telecaster 90 features a simple control setup for Volume and Tone, while the three-position switch blade allows you to blend and separate the pickups as you wish.

Gig-ready Hardware

A custom string-through-body short-plate Tele bridge equips the lower bout of the body with three compensated brass saddles for excellent intonation as you move up and down the neck. Tuning stability is as reliable as ever from this Limited Edition Fender thanks to the standard cast / sealed staggered tuning machines on the traditional Tele headstock.
