Unique Body

The Stratocaster has an instantly recognisable profile with its slick double body cutaway that facilitates access to all of the neck. However the most intriguing feature of the American Professional is the mahogany which is used to construct the entire body, a body which has often been made from alder in the past. Fender's luthiers are meticulous when searching for premium tonewoods to make their guitars as exquisite as they always are. When Hurricane Mitch struck it caused total carnage, including the destruction of forests. Fender have used rescued Hurricane Mitch Honduran mahogany to build the body of this beautiful, highly collectible Limited Edition American Pro Stratocaster. The mahogany produces the time-honoured Fender Strat sound with a wide range of rich, warm tones. Plus, this wood has survived a natural disaster, so it is more than capable of standing the test of time.

Neck

A figured maple neck is firmly joined to the body and has a brand new modern deep ""C"" profile for a comfortable grasp. Topping the neck is a smooth 22-fret maple fingerboard, decorated with handy black dot inlays. The narrow tall frets provide ample room to perform string bends and complex chord patterns.

V-Mod Single-Coils

The powerful Strat tone is alive and well in the Limited Edition American Professional Mahogany thanks to the brand new pickups. Fender have selected three V-Mod single-coil pickups which have been specifically voiced to suit each of their positions in the neck, bridge and middle.

The Volume control now has a treble-bleed circuit which allows you to hold onto the high end tones with total clarity. The two-tone controls look after the neck pickup plus the bridge and middle pair. A 5-position blade can switch between or blend the pickups for a whole universe of tone.

Hardware

The Limited Edition American Pro Strat is kitted out with dependable, durable hardware, including the 2-point synchronised tremolo bridge with bent saddles and a pop-in tremolo arm, making string bends even easier to achieve. The traditional Strat headstock hosts Fender standard cast/sealed staggered tuning machines for complete tuning precision on each string.

The Limited Edition mahogany body comes in a stunning Violin Burst finish with nickel/chrome hardware, black plastic control knobs and pickguard. Fender supply a hardshell case with each of these new Strats for added protection and easy transportation.
