Fender have released a limited number of brand new special run models, and this includes the Limited Edition American Professional Jazz Bass FMT. Fender have carefully selected exceptional tonewoods and fitted new electronics to give you the best possible sound out of this superb-looking bass guitar.

Body

The Jazz Bass has a recognisable double cutaway appearance and has done ever since its birth in 1960. The 2017 Limited Edition American Professional Jazz Bass features a beautiful figured maple top in an Aged Cherry Burst gloss polyurethane finish. Paired with the maple top is an alder body, offering a lightweight feel that is comfortable to wield.

Neck

A quartersawn maple neck is firmly joined to the Jazz Bass' body and is shaped to the modern ""Slim C"" profile, facilitating faster playability. The neck is topped with a 9.5 inch rosewood fingerboard that is home to 20 narrow tall frets for a friendly feel as you work your way up and down the neck.

V-Mod Pickups

Fender have employed a brand new pair of V-Mod single-coil Jazz Bass pickups to amplify this Limited Edition model. The pickups are situated in the bridge and middle positions and are equipped with a combination of alnico magnets for a vintage '60s-style sound like the originals. The pickups are versatile and responsive to cover a wide range of musical genres.

The Limited Edition American Professional Jazz Bass has a very simple interface consisting of Master Tone, Volume 1 and 2, allowing you to tweak your sound to suit your playing needs.

Hardware and Finish

The lower bout of the slick figured maple top is fitted with a four-saddle Hi-Mass Vintage string-through-body bridge which has nickel-plated brass saddles which brings a new-found energy to the tone of the Jazz Bass.

The traditional-style headstock is fitted with Fender lightweight vintage-style keys with tapered shafts which provide the perfect break angle over the nut without loosening the strings.

The alluring Aged Cherry Burst finish is protected by a 3-ply mint green pickguard, plus Fender include a hard case with each Limited Edition American Professional Jazz Bass so it can come out on the road with you. This is an extremely limited model so act fast to avoid disappointment!
