The new Limited Edition Fender models have been meticulously crafted, giving you something very unique and highly collectible. The American Elite Mahogany Telecaster, using mahogany wood which has been thoughtfully salvaged after the natural disaster which was Hurricane Mitch. The Telecaster Thinline also features a cutout in the body to produce a distinctive range of tones.

Body

The Limited Edition American Elite Telecaster Thinline maintains the well-recognised single cutaway body with a slim, comfortable feel against the player's body. Fender do not usually employ mahogany to build a Tele body, however this is the tonewood of choice in this model. Fender have carefully selected Honduran mahogany which has been thoughtfully rescued after Hurricane Mitch. This wood has survived a natural disaster, which almost certainly guarantees that it is designed to withstand the test of time. The body top features a single F-style cutout, allowing the natural Tele tone to be freely transferred up through the hole.

Neck

A compound-profile figured maple neck is firmly joined to the body for a slick playing feel. The neck is topped with a 9.5 inch to 14 inch compound-radius maple fingerboard offering an incredible playing surface beneath the fingertips and a modern ""C"" to ""D"" profile. The fingerboard hosts 22 narrow tall frets decorated with black dot inlays as a guide.

Electronics

The Limited Edition Telecaster Thinline features a winning combination of a new 4th Generation Noiseless single-coil Telecaster bridge pickup and a ShawBucker Special Wind humbucker. This gives you a plethora of tones to play with, from the traditional Fender single-coil sound to fat-sounding humbucker tones. A 3-position blade allows you to switch between or blend the pickups to tweak your tone. Volume and Tone controls allow for easy tone-shaping, plus the S-1 switch in the Volume pot ensures a noise-free, clean tone delivery and a high output.

Hardware

Fender have fitted the lower bout of the body with an Elite Suspension Bridge. This bridge is unique in that it has a screwless mount which expands the vibration transfer for unparalleled sustain and a responsive sound. The traditional Fender Tele headstock is fitted with standard cast/sealed staggered tuning machines for ultimately dependable tuning precision. Other hardware appointments include a Limited Edition neck plate, Mother-of-Pearl pickguard and a protective hardshell case for easy and safe transportation.
